DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE
I do not work directly with any insurance plans and all of my sessions are private pay. However, for those working with me in therapy, I do accept digital payment via FSA (Flexible Spending Account), HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement), or HSA (Health Savings Account).
If your insurance covers out-of-network providers, I can also provide you with a Superbill that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. Coaching services are generally not covered by insurance providers.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES AND CANCELLATION POLICY?
My session fee is $250 / 50 minutes or $375 / 75 mins (for couples and multi-partner relationships). Fees are invoiced through a HIPAA compliant billing system, and may be paid with a debit or credit card.
While I am not on any insurance panels, I can accept payment electronically via FSA (Flexible Spending Account), HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement), or HSA (Health Savings Account). If your insurance covers out-of-network providers, I can prepare a Superbill for you that you may submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.
To cancel your appointment without fee, please provide at least 24 hours notice. No-shows and appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours are subject to invoice at full fee.

WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
I work with people of all gender expressions, sexual orientations, races and ethnicities, religious/faith backgrounds, and especially those who have historically been excluded from affirming therapeutic treatment.
While I specialize in mental health care for kinky people, marginalized genders, artists, and creatives, at the end of the day most of the people I work with aren't looking for a place to talk exclusively about their sexuality. It's important that you not need to hide who you are to receive care and support; our work together is centered on what you need, when you need it.

DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE SESSIONS?
I maintain a limited number of sliding scale appointment slots, which are currently all full.
Sliding scale therapy services can be found through Open Path Collective, and many of the therapists featured on Inclusive Therapists also offer sliding scale services.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERAPY AND COACHING?
As a clinical psychologist, I am licensed by the state of California to provide mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness. I am a mandated reporter, and bound by state and federal laws to provide HIPAA compliant, confidential health care services. My accreditation requires a doctoral degree, 3000 hours of supervised experience, two licensing examinations, pre-licensure coursework and post-licensure continuing education, and a background check. I am able to offer licensed psychological services to residents of California, my work is overseen by the Board of Psychology, and I can bill for insurance reimbursement.
As a coach, I bring over two decades of experience working with sexual outsiders, including intersectional LGBTQIA+ and kink communities, to a here-and-now focused practice designed to offer short-term, problem-specific strategizing and solutions for concerns including relationship skills, work performance, goal setting, overcoming creative blocks, improving self-esteem, and building self-care practices. These services are not licensed by any governing body, and coaching services are available globally regardless of residency. Coaching services are generally not covered by insurance.
